Kohima, June 7 (MExN): The Northern Angami Chükehie Society (NACS) Chiephobozou today tendered an apology to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for “inadvertently and wrongly mentioning the CM as the chief guest in the programme.” The apology was made following the media reports of Rio attending livestock progamme launch at Legacy Complex in Kohima as the chief guest on June 5. The NACS in a press note issued by its chairman stated that it is against the CM’s policy and principles of doing away with VIP and chief guest culture. “NACS Society sincerely tenders our apology to the CM for the oversight on the society’s part,” it stated while thanking the CM for the magnanimity shown to the people of Northern Angami area.
