Dimapur, September 28 (MExN): The Street Vendors Association Nagaland (SVAN) has invited street food vendors from across Nagaland to apply for an opportunity to represent the State at the National Street Food Festival in Delhi on December 18 and 19.
The festival is being organised by the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI).
According to SVAN, selected vendors will be provided free transportation and lodging for the duration of the festival. The initiative is intended to provide Naga food vendors an opportunity to showcase local cuisine and culinary skills on a national platform and interact with street food vendors from other parts of the country.
Applicants are required to produce valid copies of an FSSAI licence and a Street Vending ID card or Street Vending Certificate issued by the respective Town Vending Committee (TVC).
SVAN stated that the final selection will be based on the applicants' cooking experience and culinary expertise. The screening and evaluation will be conducted by the association at its head office in Dimapur.
