DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 1 (MExN): The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) won 20 Medals (10 Gold, 7 Silver and 3Bronze) in the recently concluded 9th National Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Championship 2021, held at Goa from October 30 to 31.
The team was led by NWA Technical Secretary Mitwatei Hebwang and Women Coordinator Kudukholu D. Vadeo as official supervisor, Keduovilie Zumu as Team Coach while Surhoneyi Soho officiate the belt wrestling as Referee. The winners are expected to represent India in the forthcoming International Championship.
The team left for Goa on October 23 and is expected to reach Dimapur on 5 November evening next by train.
According to NWA President Dr Hiabe Zeliang, an official reception of the wrestlers and officials will be organized by the NWA here in Kohima upon their arrival.
