An open dance competition is being organized by the Nagaland Dancers Collective themed ‘Blaze of Glory’ this coming month. With online auditions already opened, the grand finale is set to take place on August 31 at RCEMPA, Jotsoma with exciting cash prizes.

 


Informing this at a press conference here in Kohima today, the organizers expressed that free entries are going on for any type/form of dance style- solo or group.

 


Alike the music industry in Nagaland seeing a boon in recent times both at home as well outside, this competitions hopes to provide a platform of dancers and upcoming talent to not only showcase talents but revive the dance culture in the state. It also looks towards identifying dancers to represent Nagaland in a bigger platform.

The auditions will be open till August 5. The competition carries a cash prize of Rs. One lakh. The winner will take home Rs 50,000 while the runners up to get Rs. 30,000. Prizes for sub-categories include best upcoming artist with a cash prize of Rs 5000, best video and top three auditions with a cash prize of Rs. 5000 each.
