Nagaland Elections: NPCC President on ‘seat-sharing’ issue

Kohima, January 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Congress Pradesh Committee (NPCC) K Therie today termed the hankering BJP and NDPP tickets as ‘epidemic of foolishness’ with no cure as it happening despite knowing the alliance’s “failures and dangerous trends.”

To buttress his point, he asked whether the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party 2018 slogan “Change is Coming” had been fulfilled.

“Has anyone seen any change upon our roads? Has anyone noticed improvement in power supply? Has drinking water supply improved? Have our schools improved? Have we got Medical College?...” he further posed rhetorically, in a press release.

Accordingly, he claimed that the cities and towns are “turning to slum areas,” roads are “dusty is winter and muddy in summer” while there is “most erratic power supply.”

“We do not have water supply at Kohima and Dimapur,” he asserted, further that the basic amenities are in their “lowest status.”
Therie further alleged that rampant backdoor appointments, nepotism, bias and ill-will “are the norm.”

He also alleged that the “RSS and BJP’s conducts are known to all while the NDPP is “responsible for delay in implementation of agreed solutions and rampant corruption.”

The NPCC President further termed the Nagaland Joint Christian Forum calls for Clean Election was in recognition that “election is dirty and responsible for corruption.”

Clean Election campaign was necessitated because elections have become too dirty, he added.
