Four persons were killed and 10 injured in a vehicle accident this morning near Zuketsa under Pfutsero Sub Division of Phek district. Two died on the spot while another two died on the way to the hospital. The deceased included Mezelhou Losou (68), Neikhrolo Lomi (60), Wekulhou Lasushe (42) and Tewe Krome (20).
Sources said that 14 persons were traveling in a Bolero Pickup when the accident occurred. One of the occupants was a female. All the victims were from Leshemi village.
The injured persons were rushed to Naga Hospital Kohima. Two persons are stated to be serious. Minister for Planning & Coordination and Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu, visited the injured persons at the Naga Hospital and extended emergency relief.
