Nagaland Gov interacts with rank holders and toppers

Kohima, April 16 (MExN): An interaction programme of rank holders and toppers of the HSLC Examination 2020 was held at Dr Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima on April 16.

A DIPR report stated that the Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi, congratulated the students and said that it is a matter of great satisfaction and delight in meeting the young achievers in whose hands the future of the Country lies. He advised the young achievers that, during this one year of their life, it is the most crucial time which is going to determine the entire future and advised them to have a healthy routine, proper time management and stay away from social media and to be passionate with their targets. 

He suggested them to given more time to the subjects which they find it difficult and reach out to friends or teachers if they have a doubt or join a coaching where they can enhance more of their capabilities. Ravi also encouraged the students to have self-confidence and believe in their hard work. 

He further requested the chairman, NBSE to maintain a record how the achievers are doing in life until to their career, so that they can keep track of what they have become in the future.

Advisor for School Education, KT Sukhalu while congratulating the students advised them that education is not only about achieving a degree to get a job, but a medium to bring about changes and eradicate various problems. He urged them to value education while maintaining the same excellences they possess with high purpose for humanity and be examples for the next generation.

Principal Director, School Education, Shanavas C, IAS in his speech encouraged the student to live a life like a ladder taking steps at a time but advised them not to get too confident as it difficult to climb but easy to fall. He also said there are opportunities everywhere but many don’t venture out due to lack of awareness. He also encouraged the students to have a career group where students can share ideas, interact about various subjects etc., so as to be competent to compete with others from other states. 

DCP-II, Dimapur, Aotula Imchen, IPS who also spoke on the occasion said success gives confidence to shrift forward and that their success was their first stepping stone of their achievement. She also encouraged them to work hard, to sacrifice more, make decisions, bear the pain, take in criticism, efforts to make dreams come true. She also advised them to thank their parents for their sacrifices, respect everyone that comes their way and make choices by oneself as life ahead has lots of challenges and pick one self-up from failures and never give up on oneself.

An interaction session was also held with the Governor. Vote of thanks was delivered by Special Secretary, School Education, Kevileno Angami. A special number was also presented by Thejasenuo Kire during the programme. 

Altogether, 40 rank holders and toppers of the HSLC Examination 2020 from all the districts attended the programme.
