It has been observed that out of 47 Departments, one of the worst is the Education Department. Why? Because the department has no mercy on its employees. Therefore, the employees are facing untold hardships, but Government and concerned department are not looking after their problems. Thus, strikes and agitations occur from time to time. During strike, agitation, students are at great loss, as teachers are not attending their classes. In this way, students are facing a great loss.
Government teachers are not getting their monthly salaries in time and they are going through great hardships. Nobody can work on empty stomach but the government and concerned department authorities seem to be unbothered.
Why is the HSLC & HSSLC result worse than private schools? This is due to such negligence.
Henceforth, government of Nagaland seriously think and reform education department because the foundation of every state is the education of the youth. Teachers are standing 6 hours a day to teach the students. They are builders of nations. Therefore, more preference should be given to the teachers, so that they will work hard and teach the students well.
The mediocre teachers tell, the good teachers explain, the superior teachers demonstrate, the great teachers inspire. But government teachers are not getting their facilities and even their monthly salaries are paid after several months.
No humankind can remain a mere spectator. But government teachers are ill-treated and they cannot do their work diligently. Thus, the government schools cannot compete with private schools and their HSLC & HSSLC results for several years are much lower than the latter.
Henceforth, the Government of Nagaland should think seriously and give more facilities to government teachers, so that they will also remember and work hard in the interest of public service.
