Nagaland H&FW dept identifies more COVID-19 hospitals

Mokokchung, April 1 (MExN): Principal Secretary for Health and Family Welfare, Menukhol John has identified the Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) as a COVID-19 hospital.

 

He informed no new patients will be admitted in IMDH with effect from April 6.The existing in-patients requiring further hospitalization will be shifted to Lenjem Hospital (contact: 0369 2225226), provided they can be safely moved.

 

New patients seeking emergency healthcare in IMDH will be diverted to Lenjem Hospital. Only emergency cases will be entertained.

 

Medical expenditure for in-patients who are shifted or new emergency patients who are referred will be worked out with the concerned hospital.

 

Any patient shifted or referred by IMDH to Lenjem hospital will carry an authorization order from MS, IMDH. Free benefit will be provided to AB-PMJAY beneficiaries as per guideline.

Dimapur District Hospital

The Department of Health & Family Welfare has informed that Dimapur District Hospital has been identified as COVID-19 Hospital.

 

Therefore, the following alternative arrangements are prepared for the convenience of patients: No new patients will be admitted in DH Dimapur, until further notice; All existing in-patients in DH Dimapur requiring further hospitalization are to be shifted to the under mentioned hospitals, provided they can be safely moved:

  • Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research.
  • Eden Medical Centre.
  • Zion Hospital and Research Centre.
  • Nikos Hospital and Research Centre.
  • Nagaland Multi-specialty Health and Research Centre
  • Other Hospitals will be designated as & when required.

All patients requiring emergency healthcare, henceforth will be taken up the above mentioned hospitals; District Health Authority will make arrangement for providing OPD services in various government health institutions like Urban Primary Health Centre Burma Camp, Urban Primary Health Centre Duncan, Primary Health Centre Chümoukedima, and Police Referral Hospital Chümoukedima; All suspected COVID-19 cases or flu-like symptoms from any private hospital or public health centre will be referred to the COVID-19 Hospital for screening; Medical expenditure for existing in-patients shifted from DH Dimapur and new emergency patients will be worked out with the respective hospitals.

 

The mentioned treating hospital will be empanelled under AB-PMJAY if not yet empanelled. Free benefit will be provided to AB-PMJAY beneficiaries as per guideline. For any query, contact: State Control Room: 9099607609/7085444710.

 

Longleng District Hospital

Longleng District Hospital has been identified as COVID-19 Hospital. Therefore, the following alternative arrangements are prepared for the convenience of patients: Medical services for other patients are to be taken up by converting Nyengching GHS Longleng to a make shift hospital. Further, CHC Yachem can be explored for the same; The DH Longleng authority shall start the preparation including postponement of non-essential elective surgeries, discharging stable patients, advising patients not to come for routine visits to the OPD if it can be avoided or postponed etc with immediate effect; To make indent to the directorate for requirement of any logistics.

 

All unauthorized/authorized shops (excluding pharmacies) and eateries in the vicinity of hospitals should be compulsorily shut; Engage resources from other departments in non-technical roles, so that health personnel and can dedicate in their professional responsibilities.
