Kohima, August 4 (MExN): The two-day Nagaland Junior Athletics Championships 2024 was held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima from August 2-3.
The championships, organised by the Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA), saw participation of 140 athletes.
The competition was conducted for boys and girls from the age categories – Under (U)-12, U-14 & U-16. As per the NAA, the competition was organised with an aim to provide platform and identify young talents in the state.
The association will also be conducting intensive coaching camp for athletes with promising performance during the junior championships, it said.
The coaching camp will focus on preparing and training young talents for future national competitions, it added.
