Mon district to observe BBBP week

Mon, January 18 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS in a press release has informed that BBBP week will be celebrated throughout the country from January 21 to 26. With the rest of the country, Mon District Administration will be celebrating the BBBP week. To generate awareness about BBBP Campaign, there will be several awareness programmes in Mon District and all the subdivisions throughout the week. In the district headquarter there will be a public rally in support of the campaign on January 22. Self defense classes for women will be organized for Wangkhao College girl students later in the day. On January 23, street plays and flash mobs will be performed in different parts of Mon town. On January 24, National Girl Child Day will be celebrated from the DC office. Besides this, ‘a Father Daughter Selfie’ competition has been organized for residents of Mon town.

Rio to grace KROS college foundation day

Kohima, January 18 (MExN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will grace the 8th foundation day of KROS College as honored guest on January 19 at 10:00 am. KROS College is located at Lerie, Kohima. The function will be chaired by Watichila Imchen while welcome address will be delivered by Menukhol John.

LPRHYO silver jubilee today

Kohima, January 18 (MExN): The Lower PR Hill Youth Organization (LPRHYO) Kohima will be celebrating its silver jubilee on January 19, 11:00 am at Lower PR Hill Panchayat Hall. Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, advisor rural development will be the special guest.

KPC 18th Foundation Day

Kohima, January 18 (MExN): The Kohima Press Club (KPC) will observe its 18th Foundation Day on January 20 at the NSF Conference Hall at 2:00 pm. Alice Yhoshü, General Secretary KPC in a press release has informed all its members to attend the programme. KPC has also extended invitation to all its well wishers to the Foundation Day event.

CM condoles demise of Kevitsielezo

Kohima, January 18 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has expressed sadness on the demise of Kevitsielezo Guu Phizo, son of Late AZ Phizo who passed away on January 17 at Kohima. Rio in a condolence message stated “Late Guu Phizo was a dear family friend, a thorough gentleman and a man of integrity.” He said that he had been a close friend all these years. “I recall my association with him over the years and found him to be a gentleman who always had love, respect and concern for others. In his demise, we have lost a good soul and the void left by his demise cannot be filled easily,” stated the message. Rio expressed heartfelt condolences to members of the bereaved family, and prayed to Almighty God for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

Condolence message

Dimapur, January 18 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has condoled the untimely demise of Jv Kochur Lamkang, Khapur, Khurmi Region of Leipung Tampak village on January 18 after a brief illness. A condolence message issued by MIP, GPRN stated that he joined the national service on November 1, 2018. “During his brief association with the GPRN, he has contributed his best for the Nation. His name shall be recorded in the pages of the history of Naga political struggle.” It further conveyed condolences to his bereaved family and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
