TSU to organize mass social work

Kohima, September 12 (MExN): The Tsieramia Youth Organization (TSU) of L Khel, Kohima village will be organizing a mass social work on September 14 from 8:00 am at Khrogebozou, Tsatsu, Chadi, Krouliezou and Phezoucha (Billy Graham Road to Secretariat Junction). In this regard, all the TYO members and residents of the areas have been requested to join the same.

 

ZTSBC SBAK-Aizuto updates official website

Zunheboto, September 12 (MExN): The official website of Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church (ZTSBC) SBAK-Aizuto has been updated with new services. Media Supervisor, ZTSBC in a press release stated that people can visit the site and use various kinds of services such as sending prayer requests, watching church devotional videos, download church programs, hymnal, Bible and many more other services and getting to know more about the Church. Army recovers weapons in Namsa

Kohima, September 12 (MExN): Troops of Indian Army along with police representative launched an operation in general area Namsa, Mon on September 9 and recovered large quantities of arms and ammunition. As per a press release by Lt Col, L Vincent Patton, PRO, HQ IGAR (N), it was recovered during a specific search of the resident of in the area identified as Lt Akho of NSCN (IM). It included two AK 47s, one HK and one Semi Automatic rifle, six magazines, four grenades of Under Barrel Grenade Launcher, one Improvised Explosive Device with Remote Control, assorted ammunition (191 rounds of 5.56 mm and 478 rounds of 7.62 mm), and two radio sets with one spare battery, it said. A sum of Rs 2, 18,000 in cash and extortion slips were also recovered, it added.  Accusing NSCN (IM) of resorting to “extortion and illegal activities” despite being in peace talks with Government of India, the release said that it was in gross violation of Ceasefire Ground Rules. The recovered items have been handed over to Tizit Police Station at Namsa for further investigation, it added.
