No public interview & transaction at RTO, Kma from September 16 to 21
Kohima, September 13 (MExN): Regional Transport Officer, Kohima S Yaongsanglee Chang has informed the general public that on account of continuation of the training on Vahan 4.0 for the officers and ministerial staff of Regional Transport Office (RTO), Kohima and updation of system to Vahan 4.0 application, there will be no public interview and transaction from September 16 to 21.
DMC to organize city level workshop on angikaar
Dimapur, September 13 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) will be organizing a one day City level Workshop on angikaar at Hotel Silhouette, Kalibari Road Dimapur on September 16, 11:00 am. Albert Ezung, Administrator, DMC in a press release said that angikaar is a campaign for change management under Pradhan Mantri Housing Yojana, housing for all Urban under the initiative of Municipal Affairs Department, Government of Nagaland. The Administrator has requested all representatives of Colony Council & GBs (Urban) to attend the said workshop.
Bureaucrats assigned additional charge
Kohima, September 13 (MExN): In continuation with the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Personnel A Branch notification, and in the interest of public service, the Governor of Nagaland has assigned additional charges to the two IAS and NCS officers with immediate effect. Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, Secretary, Finance Department & Chairman, SPV, KSCD Ltd shall continue to hold charge of Commissioner of Taxes, Nagaland. Obangla Jamir, NCS Secretary, Nagaland Information Commission shall hold additional charge of Minority Affairs Cell. This was stated in an Addendum issued by Sentiyanger Imchen, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Nagaland.
ACYA sales day
Kohima, September 13 (MExN): The Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) will be organising a sales day on September 17 from 6:00 AM onwards at Khuociezie Local Ground in Kohima. Various items like organic fruits and vegetables, sticky rice, brown rice, honey bee etc will be on sale. Handicrafts, flowers, traditional ornaments, flowers, hard browns, firewood etc will also be available.
HPP of DEF apprehends two highway robbers
Kohima, September 13 (MExN): he Highway Patrol Party (HPP) of DEF apprehended two alleged highway robbers – Amos Poumai (39 yrs), a resident of Upper Bayavü, Kohima and Hanji Yimchunger (28 yrs) a resident of Tinpatti, from Dzudza Hydro Bridge (Bye-Pass/Jotsoma Junction) on September 10 while they were extorting money from truckers. A press release issued by PRO DEF, Kohima stated that the vehicle used by the alleged robbers for conveyance - a Maruti Alto bearning Regd No. NL01C 9740 was also seized. In this connection, a regular case under section 384/34 IPC R/W 7 NSR has been registered for further investigation.
PDPA office building inaugurated
Phek, September 13 (MExN): Phek District Pensioners' Association (PDPA) office building was inaugurated by Krodi Rhetso, Commandant 5th NAP Phek on September 11 at DC complex. He thanked the pensioners associations for successfully working towards the public service and urged them to continue their mission. He appreciated the president and his colleagues for their hard work and selfless support for upliftment of the society. A prayer was pronounced by Rev Nuvosayi Vese, Pastor, Bible Hill Baptist Church, and Vepasa and friend presented a song. Special prayer for the pensioners was pronounced by Rev Dr Thepucuyi Khesoh Pastor PTBC, and vote of thanks was pronounced by Shesuyi Vesie, Executive Committee member (PDPA).
