ADC Jalukie notifies on sealed areas 

Jalukie, October 17 (MExN): ADC Jalukie, Dr Tinojongshi Chang has notified that in view of the detection of COVID-19 positive persons through Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and in order to take preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 as per the SOP issued by the Government Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jalukie sealed the Officer Mess and Quarter No E-190, 9th NAP (IR) HQ Saijang under Athibung Sub-Division with effect from October 16 till further order. All the public and all concern have been advised to follow all safety precautions, especially within the proximity of the sealed area. ADC cautioned that any persons violating the orders will be liable to be proceeded as per the provisions of section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 besides legal actions under section-188 of the IPC.

Ezomontsurüi calls meeting on Oct 23

Wokha, October 17 (MExN): The Ezomontsurüi office bearer executive members and representatives have convened a meeting with an important agenda on October 23 at 10:30 am at the District Planning Co-Coordinator Machinery Cell Conference Hall, Wokha. Therefore, all the members have been request to attend the said meeting. 

NWHD founder and first president pass away 

Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): The Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD) has conveyed condolence on the demise of late KhremoU Liegise, founder and first president of NWHD. The Hoho in a condolence message stated that a well known personality for promoting education and women development in a holistic manner, Liegise’s dedication and contribution towards uplifting Naga women status and uniting the Naga women by creating a platform to bring women in decision making body in the society will be a legacy. “May Almighty God give solace and comfort at this hour of grief and her soul rest in eternal peace,” NWHD stated. 

Rev Khriezetuo’s funeral service today 

Kohima, October 17 (MExN): The funeral service of Reverend Khriezetuo Keretsü, Pastor CRC Tsiepfütsiephfe (AG colony) will be held on October 18, 12:00 pm at CRC Tsiepfutsiephfe, Kohima. This was informed in a press release from NCRC office.

3 NSCN cadres arrested in Dimapur 

Dimapur, October 17 (MExN): Security forces in an operation apprehended two cadres of NSCN (IM) near Dhansiri, Dimapur on October 16.

Based on specific input, the security forces launched an operation and apprehended the two cadres involved in suspicious activities in the area. 

The troops also recovered 20 live rounds of ammunition of 70 mm, two pairs uniform of NSCN (IM), 76000 WY tablets amounting to Rs 7.6 Crore approximately and Rs 790000 in cash from the possession of the individuals, informed the PRO, HQ IGAR (N).

The apprehended persons along with recovered items have been handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur for further investigations.

In another incident, security forces in operation along with police apprehended a cadre of NSCN (KN) near Naga United, Dimapur on October 16.

According to a press release from the PRO, HQ IGAR (N), based on specific intelligence, the security forces launched an operation and apprehended the individual. “It is suspected the individual was involved in extortion activity in the area,” the release claimed. 

The troops recovered one pt 32 mm Pistol with magazine, two unused booklet, 13 leafs of a booklet, 23 loose extortion slip, seven GPRN assignment letter duly sign by V Iheto, Secy Union Territory and one mobile phone from the possession of the individual, it stated.

The apprehended person along with recovered items has been handed over to Diphupar Police Station for further investigations.
