Longleng district admin clarifies

LONGLENG, APRIL 16 (MExN): The Longleng district administration today issued a clarification with regard to the detection of COVID-19 cases amongst players of the Longleng team participating in the 21st Inter-District Football Championship 2021, Dr T Ao Trophy in Kohima. The district administration, in a press release, issued through the DIPR that “neither the District Tasks Force for Covid-19, Longleng nor the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Longleng were apprised of the mandatory Covid-19 testing to be taken by the players before their departure for Kohima.” It therefore appealed to all concerned to ensure proper dissemination of information in order to avoid the occurrences of such incidents in the future.

Gen (Retd) Thenoselie reelected as NNC President

Kohima, April 16 (MExN): The NNC during its Central Executive Council (CEC) held April 15 at Kohima has reelected its President, Gen (Retd) Thenoselie M Keyho and Vice President Thepushuyi S Keyho for another term of office (2021 to 2025). Further, it was informed in a press release that T Oren was selected as Vice President and Tsupong Longchar as General Secretary (Home) of NNC. The administration of oath and thanksgiving will be held simultaneously where all the NNC CEC members are informed to witness.

NSCN (IM) mourns demise of late Kamsuan

Dimapur, April 16 (MExN): The NSCN (IM) has mourned the untimely demise of Dimguanglung Kamsuan, Deputy Kilonser on April 15 after a prolonged illness. He was from Luangchum (Awangkhul) village under Zeilad Region. He enrolled in the Naga national service in 1993. He served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until his demise, a press note from MIP, NSCN (IM) stated. It also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members. 

NVFAA conference on April 22

Kohima, April 16 (MExN): The 19th general conference of Nagaland Veterinary Field Assistants’ Association will be held on April 22 at Jubilee Memorial Centre, Lerie, Kohima from 10:30 AM onwards. Dr Ilang, President, CANSSEA and deputy director animal husbandry & veterinary services will be the guest speaker. The conference will be hosted by Kohima District Veterinary Field Assistants’ Association with co-host by Peren, Phek, Wokha and Longleng Districts Veterinary Field Assistants’ Association. All the members have been requested to attend the conference.
