Wokha DC restricts traffic

WOKHA, FEBRUARY 24 (MExN): The Wokha DC has issued an order restricting the movement of heavy vehicles on the road leading to the District Hospital in Lower Zuvotong Colony after a culvert collapse. The directive informed that the damaged road will remain open only to light vehicles until further notice. The order also instructed the Officer-in-Charge of Traffic to regulate vehicle movement and install clear signage to guide commuters.

NLA convenes Rules Committee meeting

Kohima, February 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Speaker and the Chairperson of the Rules Committee, Sharingain Longkumer has convened the Rules Committee meeting on February 26 at 12:00 PM in the C. Chongsen Committee Room of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat for formation of two new Assembly Committees and to discuss other agenda. All the Committee Members have been requested to attend the meeting.

Passes for 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly

Kohima, February 24 (MExN): In view of the Sixth Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly to be held from March 3 to 8, car passes and official gallery passes will be issued from February 27 till March 1 during the regular Office hours i.e. 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM as indicated: All Ministers, Advisors and AHODs may collect Car Passes and Gallery Passes from the Special Secretary (Home), Civil Secretariat, Kohima, Nagaland;  All MLAs, P.S/P.A to the Members are to collect Car Passes from the Reception Counter Gate No-H, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat; All HODs, IPR and Media Persons are to collect their Car Passes from the Reception Counter, Gate No-I, Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat.

All Kohima Indane LPG Distributors informs

Kohima, February 24 (MExN): The All Kohima Indane LPG Distributors has informed all the Indane LPG Customers of IOC Ltd that it is mandatory to do EKYC on or before March 31. All customers have been requested to go to the respective Gas Agency with Aadhaar card for the same.

FGN reelects Kedahge Brig (Retd) S Singnya

Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has reelected Kedahge Brig (Retd) S Singnya for another term of five years (2025-2030.) The FGN in a press release stated that the 73rd Tatar Hoho held at its Oking on February 22 “unanimously reelected its former Kedahge Brig (Retd) S Singnya for another term of five years (2025-2030.)” T Loyem, Kilonser Rali Wali, FGN in the press release informed that the house also elected P Puthai Lem as its new Kedallo, who is also the co-Convener of the NNPGs. As per the Yehzabo of Nagaland, the elected Kedahge had constituted its new Council of Kilonsers including S Aso Yimkhiung as Kilo Kilonser,  Mughato Yeptho as Chaplet Kilonser and inducted Kilonser in various ministries, it added.

NSCN/GPRN (Niki) terminates one

Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has terminated Joint Secretary Nikaho Kiba from active national service with immediate effect. A termination order issued from the Central Secretariat stated Nikaho was terminated as per the Azah of the government for his involvement in anti-national activities, MIP, NSCN/GPRN (Niki) stated in a press release. It added that “any individuals, organizations, societies, unions, business associations and State Government Officials dealing with him shall be doing so, at their own risks and the government shall owe/bear no responsibility for his activities that he may undertake on behalf of the NSCN/GPRN.” Meanwhile, the NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has discharged Joint Secretary Kitoka Zhimo from active national service on health ground.

TSUD condemns alleged assault on nursing student

Dimapur, February 24 (MExN): Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has condemned the alleged assault on a nursing student at Dimapur District Hospital. TSUD said that healthcare workers, including nurses, play a crucial role in our society, providing care and support to those in need. They deserve our utmost respect and protection, not violence and abuse. The assault on this young nursing student is not only an attack on an individual but also an attack on the entire healthcare community. The Union has called upon the authorities to take swift and decisive action to bring the perpetrators to justice. “It is imperative that such incidents are met with zero tolerance and that measures are put in place to ensure the safety and security of all healthcare workers,” TSUD added.
