JAC on COVID-19 Peren donated to QC
The Joint Action Committee (JAC) on COVID-19, Peren District Convenor, Dr Tumda Newmai and his subordinates, visited the Quarantine Facility Centre Ahthibung on June 22. The team donated essential items for people in the quarantine and encouraged the volunteers of the facility centre.
More people arrives in Dimapur by flight
Altogether 232 people reached Dimapur by flight on June 22. Out of 232, Air India brought 122 from Kolkata and six from Guwahati while Indigo flight brought 104 from Kolkata. Kohima passengers were sent to Kohima after necessary medical screening at the airport while remaining passengers were taken to Agri Expo by Nagaland State Transport buses for further segregation and placement to different quarantine centres after going through mandatory procedures. Free distribution of umbrellas
Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized free distribution of umbrellas at Yakshu, Changlangshu and Wangti village on June 6, 8 and 12. The distribution was carried out with an aim to assists unprivileged and needy residents, especially the aged and women folk. 100 umbrellas were given out. AR restores Noklak-Tuensang road
Shamatore Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) assisted civil administration in restoring Noklak-Tuensang road, disrupted due to a major landslide. The slide occurred on June 22 due to heavy and incessant rainfall.
