Everyday Salt distributed 700 masks in Dimapur near Deluxe Police Point and GS Road on January 29. The distribution was supported by Munna Yadav, Murti Films Creation, Sentinaro and Preeti Sumi while member of Murti Films Creation were volunteers during the distribution. Everyday Salt plans to distribute 10,000 masks throughout northeast under this initiative, informed a press release received here.

Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (N) conducted medical and veterinary camp in collaboration with Veterinary College, Jalukie at Kepuijang village on January 29. Troops of AR and Veterinary College conducted medical check up of all the villagers. The villagers were also briefed about the various health and hygiene methods to be implemented during this crisis and were provided with necessary medicines. The Veterinary team provided necessary treatment to the live stocks of the villagers. A total of 123 villagers including 36 male, 64 female, 23 children and 219 animals were benefitted from the combined efforts of security forces and Veterinary College. (Photo Courtesy: IGAR N)

Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (North) conducted a ‘Door to door campaign’ from January 21 to 30 for the locals to join Armed Forces. Troops of AR in Tening visited all the villages in Tening Sub-sector and motivated the youths to join the Armed Forces. During this campaign, many activities were carried out in the villages to inform them about various entry schemes in Army and AR as well as about the entries in Sainik Schools for the kids. During the week, Art and Craft competition, Lecture on Girl Child Week, Beti Bachao – Beti Padhao Abhiyan, Awareness Campaign, Women Empowerment, Carrier Opportunities for Girls, mainly focusing on the Girls entry in Sainik School and Signature Campaign and Oath taking Ceremony for protecting Girl Child Rights were conducted at Assam Rifles Public School, Zunheboto.
