The Yimkong Welfare Society conducted a Free Medical Camp for senior citizens on January 23 at the society’s unit office and Senior Citizen Home, Aoyimti village. Altogether 58 senior citizens residing in different localities had participated and benefitted with free medical services provided to them. The medical team comprised of the following doctors from various departments: Dr Akum, Dr Saku, Dr Imnapokyim, Dr Utina and Imkong, Technician along with 5 nurses. District Level Centre for Women, Mahila Shakti Kendra, Kohima in collaboration with the State Resource Centre for Women and Nagaland State Social Welfare Board organized an online baking class in celebration of the BBBP National Girl Child week on January 26 with the Student Union Organizations of four villages- Viswema, Kigwema, Jakhama and Mima. The resource person for the day was Mesevilhou Sakhrie. About 35 participants attended the online programme. 
To commemorate the 72nd Republic Day Phek Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised medical camps at Phek village and Avanghku village on January 26. The aim of the medical camp was to provide free medical check up and treatment to the locals. Apart from medical assistance, locals were also educated about COVID-19 and the protocols to be followed as precautionary measures. Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (N) observed Youth Meet at Heningkunglwa on January 26. The meet was conducted on the eve of Republic day. Deliberate discussions on varied spects like education of youth, job opportunities and the present army recruitment rally were held. Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (North) conducted a felicitation ceremony at for selected candidate in SSC examination at Jalukie on January 26. SSC is the primary examination in India for selection into any kind of CAPF. Five students of St Xavier’s College, Jalukie who were enrolled and trained for a month by Assam Rifles cleared the final merit for selection into CAPFs. Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (North) observed National Girls Child Day Celebration at Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Jalukie from January 21 to 26. Standing firm on Beti Bachao and Beti Padao, Assam Rifles in collaboration with Child line Peren 1098 under Ministry of Child and welfare organised a lecture on Good Touch and Bad Touch for students of Assam Rifles Public School and ways to approach the child line agencies in need of emergency.
