Dayspring Preschool, Kohima organised ‘Grandparents’ Day’ by inviting the children’s grandparents to the school and indulging in an activity together on September 8. Children were asked to trace their grandparents’ hands on a paper after which the print was cut and pasted under the theme “my hand is tiny now, you see without you, I would not be your grandchild upon this tree. I am glad it includes you and me.” The ‘Grandparents’ Day’ was held recognising that in this busy world, grandparents don’t get to spend quality time with their grandchildren.

The Phek District Veteran's Football Association (PDVFA) organized a farewell programme at Phek in honour of Vesupra Kezo, Superintendent of Police, Phek on September 9.  Salie Khesoh and Yeveyi Sapuh spoke at the programme and lauded Kezo’s contribution towards the welfare and progress of the PDVFA. Kezo is one of the members of PDVFA and led PDVFA as team coach at the earlier Nagaland Veterans' Inter-District Football Tournament. SP also spoke at the programme and shared his memorable journey with the PDVFA. Earlier, the programme was chaired by Suyieveto Lohe.
Clark Memorial Higher Secondary School (CMHSS), Impur organized a one-day teacher’s sensitization on NEP 2020 and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy which was organized by the Society for Health Care, Education & Environment on September 9. Sungtimenla, Senior Lecturer, District Institute for Education and Training (DIET) Mokokchung spoke on ‘National Education Policy 2020’ and Foundational Literacy, while Aosenla, Senior Lecturer, DIET Mokokchung spoke on ‘Foundational Numeracy.’ The principal and all teaching staff of CMHSS, Impur attended the programme. An orientation programme on the ‘Imperial Coaching Centre’ was held in Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima on September 9. Arindam Banerjee, Academic Director, Imperial Coaching Centre spoke on importance of planning for competitive examination, to have a strategically preparation and need of parent’s guardianship. He emphasized on the planning of NEET and JEE examinations and briefly on the importance of physics, mathematical improvements and NEET Paper solving strategies. Rahul Sen, COO, ICC spoke on the challenges and difficulties of the competitive exams and how to prepare physically as well as mentally for all these challenges. Fr James, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Principal also spoke during the programme. 
District Horticulture Officer Chümoukedima & Niuland, Temsu Longkumer distributed winter vegetable seeds to Khughovi and Vikuho farmers on September 9. These two villages are declared as ‘vegetable villages’ by the Department. (DIPR Photo)
