One day seminar titled ‘A Study on Research Methodology’ was held on May 15 at Sakus Mission College, Dimapur. 41 faculty members from SM College and Yemhi Memorial College participated in the seminar. The main resource persons for the seminar were Dr. Alexander Jesudasan, principal, Madras Christian College, Chennai and Dr. Marcus Boominathan, former principal, Bishop Heber College, Trichy. The programme was sponsored by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, Hong Kong.
 
Christina Memorial Hr. Sec. School hostellers celebrated Mother’s Day. They conducted worship service, read poems, performed skits and songs all dedicating to mothers.
 
ATMA Chiephobozou block conducted a demonstration on improved package of practices for maize (variety HQPM 1) cultivation at Tsiesema village on May 11, where the use of api-seeder was demonstrated. The advantages of use of api seeder include reduced working hours, maintenance of proper spacing between the plants, reduced seed costs and greater yield. Kekhrieletuo Yhome, SDAO Kohima advised the farmers to go for large scale cultivation to achieve food security. The participants included 35 farmers, officials and field staffs from District Agriculture Office Kohima and ATMA functionaries from Chiephobozou block.
 
Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI) Wokha unit celebrated International Nurses Day on May 12 at Dr. MM District Hospital Wokha with Sorenbeni Humtsoe, GNM as theme speaker on the topic ‘Nurses A Voice to Lead – Health is a Human right’.
