Nagaland Spelling Bee competition cancelled

Kohima, August 31 (MExN): The Fountain Club, Kohima “with utmost regret” has informed that the annual Nagaland Spelling Bee competition has to be cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The Spelling Bee event which had seen the seventh edition organised jointly with the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and also with The Morung Express, Crystal Cable as media partners and Ramietech as IT partner has been enriching and relishable with the school  authorities, teachers and parents enthustically on board.

“We are committed to continue organising this event as and when situation improves since we are convinced that it really benefits our students, and ultimately our future generations. It opens the mind of our youngsters towards understanding and grasping the words of the language which are keys to the abundance of knowledge that are written or taught,” the organisers informed in a press release.

It also called upon the students to continue learning the words “just as would be entering a bee competition- the meaning, origin, part of speech, usage...etc- because it shall accelerate your learning process. As the theme of our competition goes, it really gives the Learning Edge.”
