Kohima, August 23 (MExN): Nagaland University initiated an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) at Mount Olive College, Kohima, aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills among youth aged 18 to 40 in the district.
Organized by the university's Entrepreneurship Development Centre at its Kohima Campus, Meriema, the programme targeted individuals with innovative business ideas or those who have been running a business for up to five years.
As part of the initiative, ten participants will be selected to attend a five-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) at Nagaland University. These participants will receive a start-up grant of Rs. 5 lakh from the university's Incubation Centre to help turn their business plans into successful enterprises.
The programme is sponsored by the North Eastern Council (NEC) and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, with no registration fees required for participants. Future sessions of the EAP are scheduled for August 28 at Sazolie College, Kohima, and August 30 at St. Joseph's College, Jakhama.
Dr. Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, serves as the Coordinator for the EDP, with Dr. Ditalak Mpanme, also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, as the Joint Coordinator.
