KOHIMA, October 7 (MExN): Nagaland Adventure & Motorsports Association (NAMSA) General Secretary, Thungde Imlong passed away in Dimapur on October 7. Thungde was the General Secretary of NAMSA for ‘several years’ till the time of his demise and also the Advisor of the Adventure & Motorsports Association of Mokokchung. In a condolence note, Abu Metha, Adviser to Chief Minister expressed shock and deep pain on the demise. Metha said that Thungde had many accomplishments in the field of motorsports and was nationally well known navigator in the rally circuit having participated in regional and national events. He was the winner of the first ever North East Orchid Rally that took place across the entire region. As a sports administrator, he made positive contributions in promoting and developing sports, particularly in the field of motorsports, where he gave his best with passion and sincere commitment. Metha conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
