Kohima, December 1 (MExN): Nagaland University and Oil India Limited sponsored and ONGC Ltd, DGM and Aimil Ltd supported five days national workshop on sequence stratigraphy and basin analysis concluded with the valedictory function held in Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema on November 30. The workshop was attended by Scientists, Assistant Professors and Research Scholars from all over the country. Resource persons were from IITs, Universities and Directorate General Hydrocarbons, Government of India. Wanthang, Director Directorate of Geology and Mining, Government of Nagaland was the special guest during the valedictory. In his speech, Wanthang said that such workshops are very significant in present senario. He also distributed the certificates to the participants. A report on the workshop was read by the Coordinator Dr SK Srivastava. Short speeches were made by Dr. Sandip Kumar Roy, one of the resource persons from the DGH and the special guest. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Vikoleno Rino, Assistant Professor in the Department.
