YTC appeals to NPGs Tuensang, October 21 (MExN): The Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) has appealed to all the Naga Political Groups (NPGs) to work together for the final and honourable solution acceptable to all. “The NPGs whose undying spirit for the self-determination of Nagas would be stronger and brighter if all the NPGs unitedly stand together for the common cause,” stated a press release from YTC president K Keozhih and joint secretary S Tsuyihbah. “The notion of equilibrium to arrive at a political consensus and broad based consultation with all section of the Nagas, and respecting the legitimate rights of all the stakeholders is the need of the hour,” it added. “The Nagas after many decades of struggle for political aspiration to resolve the long protracted issue of Nagas for honourable solution, the principle of forgive and forget and the spirit of inclusion of all NPGs in the same board cutting across all sections of the Nagas is needed to achieve the peaceful solution once and for all.”     Bike recovered Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): UT-1, NSCN (IM) has recovered a red/black Bajaj Pulsar-220 bearing chassis number MD2A13EZ7FCG13358 and engine number DKZCFG49990. SP Kiphire, Ben Longkumer gave a short exhortation where he highlighted the significance of the day and read out the list of the 473 police martyrs of the country. A befitting commemoration parade to respect, honour and remember the fallen martyrs was also presented by all the different components of the Nagaland Police.     NSCN (R) reinstates member Dimapur, October 21 (MExN): The NSCN (Reformation) has reinstated one of its members Lt. Col. Yangpongse of United Sangtam region, who was terminated earlier on March 20. The Government of NSCN (R) reinstated Lt. Col. Yangpongse with the recommendation and request made by the region authority, according to a press release from MIP, NSCN (R). Therefore, the NSCN (R) has informed the general public and various agencies to cooperate with him in any works which were assigned to him.     Traders selling tobacco products informed Kohima, October 21 (MExN): All traders/shop owners selling tobacco products under Kohima jurisdiction have been informed that the Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) in collaboration with the District Tobacco Control Cell, Kohima has arranged signboards as decided in the meeting cum training held from August 24 to September 1, 2016. Therefore, all traders/shop owners concerned have been directed to collect the signboards on payment of Rs 260 per signboard from the KMC office within October 31. A press release from KMC Administrator, Kovi Meyase stated that inspection will be undertaken with effect from November 1, 2016 and defaulters will be penalized.     ZBN office bearers elected Peren, October 21 (MExN): The Election Commission under the aegis of Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) conducted the election of Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland (ZBN) for the tenure 2016-2019 during the ZBN’s general conference at Beisumpuikam Village, Peren from October 13 to 15. The new office bearers of ZBN are: President - Rangsam N. Hau; General Secretary - Meijiang Gonmei; Finance Secretary - Erangtalak; Speaker - Kichung Reme; Deputy Speaker - Haisui; Assembly Secretary - Kangzang Liegesi; and Auditor General - Hungzie.
