NEZCC invites application for Young Talent Artistes Award

Dimapur, February 9 (MExN): The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Dimapur has invited application for Young Talent Artistes Award for the year 2020-2021 from outstanding candidates, in the categories of Folk and Tribal music/song and dance, Theatre, Dance Drama, Mime, Painting, Wood, Cane & Bamboo Crafts, Traditional Handloom & Handicrafts, Pottery, etc., Young artistes/artisans in the age group of 18 to 30 years (as on March 15, 2022) are eligible to apply for the award. 

The award consists of Rs 10,000, Citation and Memento. Candidates should be an Indian citizen and Indigenous to the eight North Eastern States i.e. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. Candidates who have received any such Awards (State/National) earlier in the same field are not eligible for the Scheme.

Deserving artistes/artisans may collect the Application Form from the Office of the Directorate of Art & Culture/Cultural Affairs, Government of the concerned State or Shilpgram, Panjabari, Guwahati and Headquarter Office, Dimapur.

Screening of the applications will be done by the respective State Department. Applications of the shortlisted candidates should reach the Office of the NEZCC latest by March 15. No application will be entertained thereafter, stated a update from the DIPR. 

Invitation for research oriented documentation works
Applications are invited from “Renowned Scholars”, who are sincerely interested to take up research oriented documentation works under North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur in the following fields:

folk and tribal music and dances and vanishing art forms of north east viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

The applicant should be an Indian citizen and indigenous inhabitant of the concern State. The Selection of the project proposals will be finalized by a Panel of Experts constituted by the NEZCC.

The Application Forms and other details can be collected from the Office of the Directorate of Art & Culture/ Cultural Affairs, Government of the concerned State or Shilpgram, Panjabari, Guwahati and Headquarter Office, Dimapur. Last date for submission of the application is 15th March, 2022. Application received thereafter will not be accepted.
Director, NEZCC shall have the right to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason.
