NNQF clarifies to NPSC

Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): The Nagaland NET Qualified Forum (NNQF) on Wednesday responded to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC)’s statement which was issued on February 16.

“In a statement published by the NPSC in the local dailies on the 16th February, 2021, the Secretary of the commission stated that the NNQF, in print media, had allegedly accused the commission of having held back posts that were requisitioned to the commission,” NNQF stated.

It clarified that it had made no such allegation and that its previous statement was only an appeal for early advertisement of the remaining five posts “as and when it is requisitioned to the commission.”

The Forum further clarified that the RTI mentioned in its previous statement was filed with the Department of Higher Education and reply received from the same.

The NNQF added that some members of the forum had met with the Secretary at the Commission’s office on February 12 to inquire on the subject concerned and other related matters. It also said that a letter was submitted to the Secretary, a signed copy of which was retained by the Forum.

“Therefore, the Commission’s statement that nobody ‘from NNQF has ever contacted the commission on the subject cited above’, is only unwelcome and regrettable,” it added.

Meanwhile, the Forum said that review and examination of the five unadvertised posts is being currently sorted out, and that the posts will be requisitioned to the commission as soon as it is complete, as informed by the Secretary, Department of Higher Education.

In this regard, it requested the concerned authority to take necessary action and bring their appeal to fruition at the earliest.
