
Kohima, March 21 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department today said that recent weather condition across the state is nothing unusual but occurring “due to the withdrawal of the South West monsoon 2016.” In a press statement issued in public interest by Comm. & Secy. to the Government of Nagaland Khrienuo Metha, NSDMA said that as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) half hourly updates at 2PM on March 21, “The withdrawal of the South West monsoon 2016 is receding towards western disturbance over North Pakistan.” As per the forecast of the IMD validating with the local weather stations of the NSDMA and Soil & Water Conservation Department, there will be clear weather up to March 25, it added.
