Naga People’s Front, Mon division annual executive meeting was held on November 22 at Council Hall Mon. Naiba Konyak, Advisor State Lottery and NBDA speaking at the programme said that the NPF party of Mon division stands in unison by the leadership of Neiphiu Rio and TR Zeliang.
Naiba mentioned that in the past, Governor of Nagaland has asked Dr Shürhozelie to prove his majority but failed because of his minority support. “In democracy, the majority always prevail and we are confident that cock symbol will be ours under the presidentship of Neiphiu Rio and Chief Minister, TR Zeliang where we have thirty-six NPF Legislators and the Dr. Shürhozelie has only ten NPF legislators,’ Naiba said while requesting the party workers to be steadfast and work harder.
EE Pangteang, Minister RD & Mon in charge, said that the two term of NPF government in Nagaland went smoothly and in the middle of the third term, the party was divided into two groups due to some individual seeking powers. He appealed to party workers not to be confused with the present scenario.
The NPF Mon Division and its frontal organisations resolved to support the leadership of Neiphiu Rio, President, NPF, and TR Zeliang, Chief Minister of Nagaland. The house resolved to vigorously work for re-strengthening the set-ups at all level and face the next general election 2018 for victorious end.
It also reaffirmed to co-operate and walk the path determined by NPF central HQ. which has sweeping majority of central executive council (CEC) members and Central office bearers; Party’s legislators are conglomerating to fulfil the desires of the people of Nagaland and the Nagas as a whole where peaceful and honourable solution to protracted the Naga political problems through negotiations between Government of India and various NNPGs with an intention to complete all outstanding issues for permanent settlement before the general election.
