Dimapur, March 26 (MExN): The NACN (IM) has condoled the untimely demise of Sergeant Irangwang Pamei of the General Headquarters (GHq), Naga Army on March 18 as well as Ketholetuo Kense, Leacy on March 24.
Both died after prolonged illness, informed a condolence note from MIP, NSCN (IM).
Hailing from Mhaikam village under Asalu Region, late Pamei enrolled in the Naga national service on February 5, 2005, it said.
The Adjutant General (AG) of the Naga Army has bestowed upon him posthumously the rank of Sergeant Major on the March 19, 2022 in recognition of his service to the nation, it added.
Late Kense of Tsiemekhuma Basa village under Angami Region joined the Naga national service in 2013.
They both served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until their demise and the void created by their demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in, the NSCN (IM) stated.
“For their selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, their names shall be recorded in the pages of theNaga history and they shall be remembered for all time to come,” it added.
The NSCN (IM) also offered its condolences and prayers of comfort to late Pamei and late Kense.
“It is our prayers that the Almighty God will comfort their family members during this time of grief. We pray for their souls to rest in eternal peace,” it added.
