NSRLM to launch Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana on October 6

Kohima, October 4 (MExN): The Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) under the aegis of Department of Rural Development, Government of Nagaland will be launching Nagaland- Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana (SAY-Arok Ainba) on October 6 at Hotel Vivor. Kohima.

Moa Sangtam, Joint Secretary & Mission Director, Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission, stated that the launch marks an important milestone in the partnership between NSRLM and BRAC International to strengthen pathways towards sustainable livelihoods, economic inclusion and social protection for 4.000 extremely vulnerable rural households across the selected programme geographies of Nagaland.

The programme will adapt the DAY-NRLM's SAY framework to the context of Nagaland, drawing upon the existing community institutions and systems of NSRLM and BRAC International's experience with the Graduation Approach.

The initiative will focus on intensive household-level coaching, livelihood and enterprise development, productive asset creation, financial inclusion, access to government schemes, market linkages and capacity building.
