Bangalore, July 29 (MExN): Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) held an orientation programme for freshers on July 28 at United Theological College. NSUB president, Nuthipru Nienu in the keynote address stated how the orientation will be a huge step forward, especially for those who are new to Bangalore. The programme was graced by four speakers with former DGP of Karnataka, ex MP and currently the vice president of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, Dr. HT Sangliana as the guest speaker. Speaking on the corporate aspect, Meiyatoshi, an entrepreneur and one of the four speakers, encouraged the people to learn to work hard, to value oneself and believe in oneself, informed a press release from NSUB. “When we are working in corporate it is very important to be punctual, learn to be a team player, always respect other’s opinion and be a person of integrity and honesty,” he added. Rachel Sema, who works as a counsellor in an NGO, talked on depression. She noted sometimes migration to a metropolitan city can cause depression as one struggles to adjust to the new environment. “The obstacles we face will easily lead to depression and so during this time one needs to embark on their support system in order not to fall deep into depression,” the release quoted her saying. Atoka V Zhimomi, a service delivery lead living in Bangalore for more than 15 years, emphasized how it is very important to be connected with one’s own community when one is living far away from home. He also encouraged the crowd to have the right and positive attitude, especially at work.
