Demonstration on automotive technology on latest advancements during the ‘Open Week’ of Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, Dimapur.

Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Dimapur conducted its second ‘Open Week’ from June 9 to 13 at its campus. NTTC Dimapur, which is a Government of Nagaland registered society under Industries & Commerce Department, showcased its state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities, and publicizes to create awareness on its diverse activities and training programmes to prospective students, parents, and industry/business partners with comprehensive understanding of the institution’s offerings.
The Open Week drew over a thousand participants from various schools, colleges and organizations including parents, existing and aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, educators, industry partners, both within and outside the State of Nagaland.
The events included live demonstration on machinery/tools, exhibitions of agro-based rural technologies, showcasing of Industry 4.0 technologies (Robotic, Automation studio, Simulation, MasterCam, 3D printing, drone technology, Mechatronics labs), interactive sessions with trainers on courses, certifications and career prospects, free spot admission to diploma engineering courses and enrolment in Government sponsored skill development courses.

Participants and visitors had the opportunity of exploring the institution’s modern infrastructural facilities, laboratories, and gained firsthand information on latest advancements in tooling and manufacturing technology and other facilities.
The event facilitated an open platform for participants to interact with faculty and technical staff, offering valuable guidance and insights into the scope and prospects of various activities and training programmes offered by the centre including emerging industry trends and opportunities, career pathways, networking and collaboration between students, faculty, and even to placement of machine and tool orders.
“Prospective students and parents expressed keen interest in the institution’s programmes, activities and services, the feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, and significant number of students has enrolled in various training programmes during the event,” stated an update received here.
The event strengthened the institution’s recognition, forged industry partnerships, and showcased its commitment to quality education, innovation, and bridging academia with industry highlighting its potential to shape the future of manufacturing, agro-based, and allied sectors.
It also mentioned that free admission to diploma engineering courses will continue till June 30, 2025.
