Operationalise police outposts in foothills: UNTABA

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 9 (MExN): The United Naga Tribes Association on Border Areas (UNTABA) today urged quick completion of the required infrastructure in the three newly established police outposts along the foothill areas at Saring, Aokum and Aosenden. A press release from the UNTABA, while appreciating the Nagaland Government for establishing these posts, hoped that they would be operational soon. It reminded that the association had submitted some proposal with feasibility report for the establishment of the police outpost under Dimapur district. “However, the Government could not fulfill its obligations for the submitted proposals this time around,” it lamented. It therefore asked the government to immediately consider for the establishment of police outposts in the foothill areas in and around Lotha lower range, Dimapur and also under Peren District in a phase manner.
