Wokha, February 20 (MExN): The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Wokha conducted Reproductive Child Health Camp at Merapani Health and Wellness Centre (HWC) on February 18 for beneficiaries who are unable to access health care services in hospitals.

According to a press release from the Wokha Chief Medical Officer’s (CMO) office, the CMo Dr Tumchobeni interacted with beneficiaries and stressed on the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyles and timely medical treatment for any ailment.

Deputy CMO Dr Zuben Kikon along with medical officers from Bhandari Community Health Centre and Community Health Officer from Merapani HWC conducted medical check up on more than a hundred beneficiaries and provided free medicines. Information, Education and Communication materials on non communicable disease, anaemia and immunisation were also distributed to beneficiaries. Along with this, red blood sugar test, HIV test, blood pressure, family planning counselling, Copper T insertion, COVID-19 vaccination, etc., were some of the services provided during the RCH camp, the release stated.

Meanwhile, Merapani village chairperson Nyamo Odyuo expressed gratitude to the medical team for conducting the camp and encouraged residents to avail the free health care services, it added.
