Phek, April 18 (MExN): It is of utmost importance and imperative that network connectivity is supplied 24/7 for the smooth conduct of the election process. Stating this, Phek DC and DEO John Tsulise Sangtam in an order stated that poor network connectivity has hampered electioneering works at the Headquarter and “it has come to knowledge of this Office (DC) of the limited use of Generator imposed upon by groups/associations/landowners, which has possibly affected the smooth and continuous supply of services especially at the Headquarter area.”
In this, Phek DC directed all the Service Providers (Jio, ARTEL & BSNL) under Phek Hq, that until the time election process is over, backup Generators be used 24/7 “so as to ensure continuous and uninterrupted Power Supply at the cell station and continuity of network/services.”
Furthermore, no individual/groups/organization should in any way restrict the use of Generators till the time the election process is over. This is a strict directive and all concerned parties are expected to comply without fail, Phek DC stated.
