Phek District Badminton Association (PDBA) in collaboration with Glory Peak Shuttlers Pfutsero today conducted Phek District Open Veteran Badminton Championship 2024 at Krokulo Foundation Khelo India Centre, Pfutsero.
Gracing the tournament as the special guest, former minister Neiba Kronu encouraged the players to excel in the game and cultivate healthy life style. He also urged upon the players and public leaders to strengthen friendship through sports.
Kronu acknowledged the hosts of public leaders and well wishers present in the function to support the players. Altogether, 80 veteran shuttlers competed in 5 categories.
The best team shall represent the district in the Nagaland Inter-District veteran badminton tournament.
The prize sponsors include Veduzo Sasu, Rural Development Officer, Er Daniel Kevie, Executive Engineer (PWD), Shiekhozo Rhakho, Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology & Consumer Protection, Vekhrolo Koza, Block Development Officer and G-Sports Chumoukedima.
The inaugural ceremony was chaired by Dr Nutazo Lohe, President PDBA while keynote address was delivered by Kelhikha Kenye, Executive Member, Nagaland Badminton Association.
