Phek, April 8 (MExN): The Integrated Disease Surveillance Program (IDSP) Phek conducted training on the use of Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) for IDSP on April 6 and 7 at the District hospital conference hall, Phek.

Attended by Medical Officers (MO), ANM and Community Health Officers (CHO) from all the health units across the district, the main aim of the training was to train the health workers on the reporting system for uploading data in the IDSP portal.

The key features of IHIP, types of data and various reporting formats under IDSP were shared and explained to the participants.

The participants were trained on data entry using different form for different diseases and disease conditions by the resource persons Dr Asen (State Epidemiologist), Roseline (Programme Officer from State), Ursy (State Data Manager), Dr Limatoshi (Epidemiologist Phek,) Dr Shevo (DVBO Phek), Sede (DPM NHM) and Kedupa Venuh (Data Manager Phek).

IDSP is a major National Health Programme under National Health Mission (NHM) for epidemic prone disease surveillance across the country and to detect and respond early warning signals of disease outbreaks.
