Phek MMU provides medical packages in Meluri block

Meluri, April 4 (MExN): The National Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) Phek team comprising of GNM Keviholi and Lab-Tech Kenei visited ten villages under Meluri Block as part of its monthly touring activities from March 17 to 22.

According to a press release from the District Media Officer, NHM Phek Kutolu Nakro, the MMU visits far flung villages every month and provides various service packages to the people.

In March, the team visited Khumiasu village, Akhegwo town, Kukhegwo village, Phokhungri village, Phokhungri town, Lutsam village, New Thewati, Washelo village and Zhipu village.

Altogether 181 people have availed the services out of which 8 were referred to higher facilities, it stated.

A total of 34 pregnant women were given Ante-Natal Check up and lab-tests were done on HB, blood sugar and Malaria, it said, while adding that the team also gave health talks and educated them on the importance of different health issues.
