Competitions in prepared speech, quiz, drawing and painting, essay writing were held.
The vice principal of the school in his introductory and welcome address highlighted the Raman Effect. He said that Raman Effect or Raman Scattering is an inelastic scattering of a photon. When light is scattered from an atom or molecule, most photon are elastically scattered with almost the same energy and wavelength as the incident photons. But a small fraction of the photons is scattered by excitation. The frequency of scattered photons is lower than the frequency of the incident photons.
