PM, HM to visit Manipur

Newmai News Network Imphal | March 5   Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be visiting the State for the inauguration of the 105th Indian Science Congress to be held in Imphal on March 16. Around 4000 delegates will be participating in the Congress.   The Prime Minister is also likely to lay the foundation stone for National Sports University in the State. Biren said this during the inauguration of Girls and Boys Hostels at Khuman Lampak, Imphal today.   Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh would also visit Manipur to attend the first anniversary celebration of BJP-led government in the State which falls on March 15, and inaugurate the Integrated Check Post located in Moreh, he added.   As part of the ‘Inauguration Fortnight’ to commemorate the first anniversary of the first BJP-led government in the State, Biren inaugurated the Girls and Boys Hostels of 150 capacity each at Khuman Lampak, Imphal and “Imphal Planetarium” at Manipur Science Centre, Takyelpat, Imphal West.   The government has identified about 116 projects/schemes to be inaugurated on the occasion of ‘Inauguration Fortnight’ in the State.
