KOHIMA, OCTOBER 28 (MExN): Sanjeev Sanyal, Member, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India along with Prasad Mishra, Director commenced a visit to Nagaland, focusing on catalyzing economic growth and development in the region. The visit holds promise for bolstering key sectors and forging collaborations to uplift Nagaland's economic landscape.
Sanjeev Sanyal is a distinguished economist and urban theorist, who serve as a crucial advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wielding substantial influence in shaping India's economic policies. His expertise encompasses a wide range of fields, from urban development to financial markets, a press release stated.
During the visit, Sanjeev Sanyal will be engaging in a series of vital activities aimed at understanding the unique economic challenges and opportunities in Nagaland.
On Saturday, Sanjeev Sanyal and Prasad Mishra visited Phek District HQ and interacted with the entrepreneurs at Phek Town. Accompanied by Dr Er Vekho Swuro, they visited Subhas Hut at Military Camp Chakhabama while on the way to Phek and interacted with the military officers.
Prior to the visiting of Phek District Head Quarter, the team also visited Lozaphuhu village. Lozaphuhu Village Council submitted a memorandum to Sanjeev Sanyal on developmental related activities.
Meanwhile, interacting with the entrepreneurs Phek Town, Sanyal apprised young people to take up Eco-Tourism project to move forward with the changing of times in the present society On reaching the Ruzhazo Village, the first administered Village of Indian National Army (INA), a grand reception was organized by Ruzhazo Village Council with cultural spotlights.
On October 29, the team will attend Sunday Worship service, visited Subhas Chandra Bose Memorial construction site and thereafter proceed to Vivor Hotel, Kohima.
