Winning and runners-up teams of the TSUD Open Penalty Shootout held on June 18 at DGC, Dimapur

DIMAPUR, JUNE 19 (MExN): An Open Penalty Shootout organized by the Tenyimi Students' Union Dimapur (TSUD) was held on June 17 at the Dimapur Government College ground. The event was graced by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Khrusa Keyho as special guest.
In his speech, Keyho acknowledged the tireless efforts, dedication and co-ordination among the TSUD. He also commended the participants for their dedication, support and true sportsmanship. He also encouraged the union and committed to support and work hand in hand for the upliftment of the unions and community in general, a press release issued by TSUD informed.
The event, which was organized in aid of the upcoming Silver Jubilee celebrations in 2025, saw enthusiastic participation and performances, making it a memorable day for all involved.
Altogether 31 teams participated in the penalty shootout.
Team Power Kickers emerged as the champion, showcasing exceptional skill and composure under pressure. The runner-up was United Brother. The champion walked away with a cash price of Ra 30,000 with certificates while the runner-up received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 with certificates.
In the individual awards category, the Best Goalkeeper went to Toika Chopi. He was awarded a cash prize of Rs 2000 with certificate.
Meanwhile, the TSUD extended gratitude to all the volunteers, district official referee, all affiliated units and enthusiastic sportsperson and the executive members of the union for making the event a resounding success.
