Priyanka Chopra receives Padma Bhushan

New Delhi, (IANS) Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra on Tuesday recieved the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour from President Pranab Mukherjee at a glittering function at Rashtrapati Bhavan here.  

Priyanka looked no less than a "Desi" girl, dressed in a lime green sari while receiving the honour.   The former Miss world has been a part of Hindi cinema for almost a decade and has made India proud globally with her stint in the American TV series "Quantico".   The actress, who is currently riding high on the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus "Bajirao Mastani", has even bagged a Hollwood film, "Baywatch", alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.  

Rajinikanth honoured with Padma Vibhushan

  New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) Southern megastar Rajinikanth was on Tuesday honoured with the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian award, by President Pranab Mukherjee at a glittering ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.   Looking dapper in a beige churidar kurta teamed with a grey Nehru jacket, Rajinikanth was accompanied by his wife Latha Rajinikanth.   The actor enjoys a massive fan following and is lovingly called 'Thalaivar' by his his well-wishers. He has worked both in Hindi and Southern films over his three decade long journey as an actor.
