Mon, October 25 (MExN): The Private Transport Association Mon (PTAM), following reports from the public have come to notice that vehicle seat of passenger and below standard of vehicle are plying within Mon district as taxis and passenger bus. Therefore, PTAM in a press release issued by its Vice President, Nokshing Konyak and Joint Secretary AM Kaiba Konyak has directed to all concerned vehicle owner to make “well standard” of this respective vehicle seat and seating arrangement for the convenience of passenger and also directed to use new tyre within November 25. The PTAM office will check all plying passenger vehicles from time to time, it stated while adding that action will be taken against anyone found unfit to be public passenger taxi/bus within Mon District jurisdiction and impose a fine of Rs. 5000 (five thousand) to light vehicle and Rs.10,000 (ten thousand) for bus respectively. “This order shall be enforce till further order,” PTAM added.
