Pughoboto, September 10 (MExN): Pughoboto Sub Divisional Planning & Development Board was held under the chairmanship of MLA and Chairman SDPDB Pughoboto, Y Vikheho Swu at DB court hall, Pughoboto on September 10.


A DIPR report stated that the Chairman launched the official website of Pughoboto (www.adcpughoboto.nagaland.gov.in) making it the first ADC HQ in the state to have official website. The website will provide a range of service to the people who can easily access information of the division. The Chairman said people of Pughoboto can now download the ST and Indigenous certificate Form and others. He lauded the officers for launching the website which will bring transparency and accountability and asked the board members to provide authentic information. He said that this will not only enhance the efficiency of the officers but also upgrade the sub division. 


In the meeting, MLA also reviewed Thuwuni festival held for the last four years, and apprised that Thuwuni 2019 will be on hold due to engagements for centenary celebrations in Natsumi and 75 years celebration of Pughoboto Town and also the ongoing construction of four lane road from Dimapur to Kohima, which may hamper movement of the people. He said that Thuwuni Badminton tournament will be held in Pughoboto next year and Music Thuwuni- will be organized in Pughoboto, Kohima and Dimapur to promote the Aphuyami people. 


Doyang bridge between Pughoboto to Zunheboto weakening and therefore, the house decided to restrict plying of heavy vehicles above 10 tonnes till further order. 


The next SDPDB meeting will be held at Ghathashi. A presentation was also given by the Government High School which will celebrate 75 years of existence in March 2020.
