Pughoboto SDPDB meeting conducted

Pughoboto, April 13 (DIPR): Pughoboto SDPDB meeting for the month of April was held at the community hall, Ghathashi on April 12 under the chairmanship of ADC, Pughoboto and SDPDB Vice Chairman Avelu Ruho. The house welcomed the new members Er Kenisevi SDO (PHE) and Dr Kaili Sumi PHC, Ghathashi.   In the meeting, Minister for Roads & Bridges, Y Vikhiho Swu who is also the SDPDB chairman said that he wants to develop the Pughoboto area as a “green area” and urged the people to conserve its forest in order to maintain ecological balance.

  Dwelling on the tree plantation schedule on May 5, Swu said that various saplings are arranged for the plantation drive. He announced to the gathering that a self-help group under the NRLM will be launched very soon for the welfare of the area. He requested all the representatives from 24 villages to cooperate and maintain conducive environment in order to bring development for the area. He underlined the need to expand the town so as to accommodate others tribes as well as to promote other developmental activities.   The Minister directed the SDEO, Pughoboto, to bring all the schools status report of existing teachers and shortage. He also assigned the SDO (PHE) to submit the status report of the water supply pipeline connection in the entire village in the next meeting.   In the agendum discussion, SDEO, Pughoboto, Watisangla informed to the house that GHS Pughoboto was selected for the up gradation to Higher Secondary School and is forwarded to the Government. Other agendas include HSLC Exam center, Pughoboto Town face lift etc. The officers from the SDAO, Pughoboto, BDO Ghathashi, JE (Power) also highlighted their Department activities. Many issues were deliberated comprising of electrification, problems in education institution, roads & bridges, establishment of Veterinary centre etc, which were brought by the village chairman, GBs, and DBs. The SDPDB was followed by a public meeting to maintain public coordination for the process of developmental activities. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks from the chair.
