Mumbai, September 17 (IANS) Superstar Rajinikanth extended heartfelt birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who turned 75 on Wednesday, and wished him a long life and the strength to continue leading the nation.
Rajinikanth took to X, formerly called Twitter, where he penned the note for the “most respected, honourable, and dear Prime Minister”.
He wrote: “To the most respected, honourable, and my dear Prime Minister @narendramodi Narendra Modi ji , heartfelt wishes on your birthday. Wishing you long life, good health, peace of mind, and everlasting strength to lead our beloved nation. Jai Hind.”
Talking about the superstar, he was recently seen in Coolie, a Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj and Rachita Ram, with Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde in special appearances.
The film revolves around a former coolie union leader investigates the death of his friend which leads him to a crime syndicate.
He will next be seen in the action comedy Jailer 2 directed by Nelson. It is a sequel to the 2023 film Jailer, the film stars Rajinikanth reprising his role as the titular character, alongside Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Mirnaa reprising their roles, with S. J. Suryah, joining the cast. Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar and Nandamuri Balakrishna make cameo appearances, with the former reprising their roles.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister will be visiting Bhainsola village in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, where he will lay the foundation stone for India’s first PM MITRA (Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Park, a major step toward boosting the textile industry in the state.
This initiative is part of seven such textile hubs planned across the country under the PM MITRA scheme.
During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will also launch two major national initiatives, ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ (Healthy Women, Empowered Families) and the eighth Rashtriya Poshan Maah (National Nutrition Month), to strengthen the country’s health and nutrition services, particularly for women, children, and adolescents.

Several Bollywood celebrities, including Riteish Deshmukh, Kangana Ranaut, Sonu Sood, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff, Hema Malini among others extended warm wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday.
Taking to social media, celebrities lauded PM Modi’s leadership and praised his contribution to the nation. Sharing PM Modi’s picture on his X handle, Riteish wrote, “Wishing our Honourable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji a very Happy 75th Birthday - May god bless you with great health and long life sir ….. #HappyBirthdayModiji.”
Paresh Rawal tweeted, “I Pray to god to grant a long and Healthy life to our beloved Honourable Prime minister Shri @narendramodi ji.”
Taking to his X handle, Sonu extended his wishes to PM, writing, “History remembers those who reshape the future.Wishing PM @narendramodi ji continued strength, clarity, and courage as he leads Bharat through a transformative era. May your journey remain as fearless as your vision. #HappyBirthdayModiJi.”

Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut shared her photo with PM Modi and wrote on Instagram, “By embracing the mantra of 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Development', hearty congratulations and best wishes to the true son of Maa Bharti, the country's most popular leader Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi ji.”
Posting a heartfelt video, Jackie Shroff tweeted, “Good Health and Happiness always! Janam Din ki Shubhkaamnaye @narendramodi.”
Kirron Kher also wished PM Modi with a heartfelt post. Sharing her picture of shaking hands with Modi, she wrote, “Happy Birthday to Honorable Prime Minister Mr. @narendramodi ji. Your honest and fearless leadership is leading the country towards a brighter future. May God keep you healthy and strong.”
