Re-igniting the inheritance: Aoleang Mo-nyu festival in Mon

Mon, April 5 (MExN): The inaugural programme of the Aoleang Mo-nyu festival was held at Local Ground, Mon with the theme, ‘re-igniting the inheritance’ on April 5.

Special Guest for the event, Minister for Forest & Climate Change, YM Yollow in his address conveyed Aoleang greetings to the people of Mon, the Guest of Honour, MLA, Government of Assam, Dharmeswar Konwar and all the visitors on behalf of the Konyaks. He highlighted the history of Naga-Ahom relationship and stressed on the importance of peaceful Naga-Ahom relationship and the settlement of all issues through peace and dialogue, stated a DIPR report. 

MLA Dharmeswar Konwar stated that he brings Aoleang greetings to Mon on behalf of the people of Assam. Aoleang greetings message was extended by Manlip Konyak while the significance of Aoleang was briefed by Konngam. 

The event witnessed Khümshü Loklak by Tangnyu Union, a performance for the remembrance & tribute of Oting massacre by Totok Chingkho Tangshim, cultural troupe display by Sheanghah Union and Wakching Wankon Union.
